Inventory Control
The MMS inventory database classifies items by brand, department, supplier,
model, serial number(s), IMEI, and ESN/UPC codes. It also indicates the item
quantity, location, margin, desired turnover rate, order lead time, sales rating
code, number of items on order and back order, number of items reserved, last
order date, date expected, date last received, date of last sale and much more.
The supplier catalogue cost, most recent cost and weighted average cost, margin, retail price, selling price and zone/contract price is available for each item. In addition, each inventory item can have multiple UPC codes and multiple suppliers. All size, color and serial number information is fully tracked within the system. You can define up to 35 seasonal plans and assign plans to different items, linking inventory levels to a seasonal plan.
An integrated purchase order system automatically generates suggested
purchase orders based on parameters you define, and then allows editing before the final purchase order is generated. You can have a number of purchase orders in various states of completion in the system at the same time, and can consolidate orders for the same supplier. When items are received, reserved items and back orders are automatically identified.
Every item is tracked in real-time from the time it is received, through any transfer, price change, inventory count, sale, and service. Bar-coded labels can be generated for any item at any time.
Many types of reports provide detailed information allowing you to make better business decisions. You can create reports on inventory totals, inventory turns, GMROI, reduced margins, sale analysis, sale history, and many others. A custom report generator allows custom queries and reports from any combination of user-selected fields.
